# Carolina Cardinals Optimist Club

> We are a nonprofit organization who primarily works with youth. We do additional projects for senior citizens and will be starting a soup kitchen next month for the homeless population in our community.
Our goal is to help young people find productive and safe activities to keep them off the streets and out of trouble. We hold an essay and oratorical competition annually to allow students to earn scholarship money. Healthy competition is good for them.
